Growing up in Los Angeles as a child, Marcus Blanchard was immersed in the sights and sounds of the entertainment
world. Since then, he has spent more than 25 years honing his craft in various mediums and ultimately becoming
recognized as a multi-talented industry professional producing, directing and composing on projects for radio, stage and
film.

Early on in his career, Blanchard’s critical ear and love of music earned him airplay for iconic radio stations such as K-
DAY and the Beat in Los Angeles during the mid 80’s and 90’s.  Industry professionals quickly took notice of Blanchard’s
abilities beyond the radio station and drew on his skills for many projects. He has since worked for and with groups and
artists such as Kool & the Gang, Michael Jackson, Usher, Pink and Christina Aguilera.

Given Blanchard’s growing expertise in story-telling through all things sound-related in any medium, he was able to
expand his repertoire to include film credits.  For the past decade, Blanchard continues to lend his expertise to repeat
customers including Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, Nickelodeon and Samuel Goldwyn Films to name a few.

Marcus and his team of editors have accrued several accolades collectively and individually including an Oscar ® for the
Hurt Locker, two Daytime Emmy® nods, two Golden Reel nominations and an additional Academy Award nomination in a
short period of time.  A smaller achievement, but one still held in high-esteem by Blanchard continues to be the Universal
Studios ‘Employee of the Year for Sound Mixers’ award he received in 1999.

From creation to development, pre-production, production, and post-production, Blanchard’s sought-after experience  is
sure to make projects memorable to audiences world-wide.
